The Academic Library Association (ALA), India is purely a professional society of qualified library and information science professionals. Professionals holding BLIS, MLIS or higher degrees in Library and Information Science or Documentation can become regular members of ALA.

Life Membership

Holders of BLIS, MLIS or higher degrees in Library and Information Science or Documentation can take Life Membership by paying a fee of Rs. 100/-

Associate Membership

CLIS Holders and Students in LIS can become Associate Members on payment of Rs. 200/-. On conferring BLIS or any higher degrees in LIS, their membership will be automatically converted as Life Members without any additional payment.
